Saturday found "Yogi" (aka Bill) on a float with others from Jellystone Park. Bill knew it was going to be hot so he and Bruce, another workamper, rigged up a generator and window air conditioner on the float. The air conditioner had two 2" hoses running up "Yogi's" legs to keep him cool.
On Sunday, Bill and I went to the Fair and Rodeo. It is a very small county fair (compared to our former Crawford County Fair in Pennsylvania) but a nice, clean fair. This is the 2009 Douglas County Rodeo Fair queen.
The PRCA rodeo was filled with action and excitement. Here, a world champion steer wrestler, "takes one down".
The rodeo clown, from California, had 10 rescue dogs that he's gathered from around the country. They were of various mixed breeds and put on a good show for our enjoyment.
Here's a barrel racer doing her thing.
A saddle bronc rider....
The bulls were the winners this week, with only 1 cowboy staying on for 8 seconds. I can't remember his name but he was from Omaha, Nebraska, and we saw him ride on Sunday.
