The complex was dedicated in April, 1977 and has since become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Colorado Springs. Bill is standing in front of the Carol Grotnes Belk sculpture, a lovely display of sports-related sculptures displayed amongst flowers and plants.
Free tours of the complex include a walk along the Olympic Pathway, lined with flags representing 203 countries from around the world.
The Athletic Center can hold up to 220 resident athletes and also holds the dining hall. The dining hall caters to the athletes and list carb, protein, fat, etc., content on each of its entrees. Our tour guide said the food is very tasty.
